What Network Live Monitor does

Most teams find out a server, router, or printer is down the same way: someone complains. By then it has been offline for who knows how long. Network Live Monitor closes that gap. You give it the devices you care about, and it keeps a live eye on all of them from a clean local dashboard, so the screen tells you something is wrong before a person has to.

It monitors anything with an IP address, servers, routers, switches, printers, NAS boxes, cameras, whatever matters on your network, and it runs as a real Windows application in its own window, not a browser tab you have to keep alive. Leave it open in the corner of a screen and it just keeps watch.

A live dashboard that answers one question: is it up?

The dashboard is built around the status you actually need at a glance. For every device it shows:

• UP / DOWN status and current ping latency
• Uptime % and fail counts over time
• Last up, last down, and last change timestamps
• A live clock and scan counter so you can see it is actively working

When something drops, an offline banner appears with clickable device chips, click a chip and it jumps you straight to that device in the table. No hunting through rows to find what broke.

Alerts you will actually notice

A dashboard only helps if you are looking at it. Network Live Monitor pushes the important moments to you: when a device goes down you get a Windows desktop notification and an alert sound, and when it recovers you get a recovery notification, so you know the problem is over without checking. Notifications and sound each have their own toggle, there is a master mute for quiet hours, and a Test Alert button so you can confirm everything works before you rely on it.

Set your company profile once and your company name appears in the alerts, the dashboard header, and the notification headings, handy when the same machine watches networks for more than one site.

Every outage, logged and exportable

Live status is the present tense. For everything that already happened, there is a built-in event log viewer: the last 7 days of events, filterable to just downs or just recoveries, each outage showing its downtime in minutes. When you need to share or keep a record, export to CSV any time, and older logs are automatically archived to Downloads\Network Monitor Logs so nothing piles up and nothing is lost.

Set up in minutes

You should not have to retype a device list you already keep. In Settings > Devices > Bulk import you can upload a CSV or JSON file to add many devices at once, duplicate IPs are skipped and invalid rows are reported, and ready-made templates are one click away. Add, edit, remove and reorder devices right from the dashboard, no file editing required. One Settings dialog holds everything: your company profile, device management, the notification toggles, and updates.

There is also a system tray icon: click to open the dashboard, right-click for quick mute and close, so it stays out of the way while it keeps watching.

How to get it

Getting started takes a minute:

1. Download the installer

Grab the latest installer from the JagaSec releases page on GitHub. It is a standard Windows installer.

2. Double-click and follow the wizard

No admin rights needed. It installs per-user to your local app data folder and adds Desktop and Start Menu shortcuts.

3. It starts monitoring right away

The dashboard opens automatically and monitoring begins immediately. Bulk-import your device list, or add devices one at a time from Settings, and you are watching your network live.

Updates without the hassle

When a new version ships, you do not have to go looking for it. Open Settings > Updates > Check for Updates and, if a newer release exists, Update Now downloads and installs it in one click, the familiar setup wizard runs and your devices, logs and settings are all preserved. Safe upgrades are built in, with a single-instance guard so you never end up with two copies fighting over the same view.

Where this fits

Network Live Monitor is the second live product in the JagaSec suite, after IT Asset Management. The idea behind the suite has not changed: ship focused tools that each stand on their own and get better together, so you can adopt one, then the next, without a rip-and-replace. This is an early, deliberately focused release, and it will grow from here.
